Project Overview
This project explores packaging design through a humanitarian theme, inspired by the Dieline Awards' "Design for Good" category. Rather than focusing
on profit, the design aims to create packaging that
gives back, uplifts communities, and makes a positive impact. It’s about designing with heart and purpose,
using creativity as a tool for good.

Rationale
Nest & Bloom is a sustainable packaging solution for
small to medium-sized companies. Our brand focuses
on eco-friendly materials, innovative structural design,
and minimal graphics to reduce waste. Additionally,
a circular system is in place that allows customers to
drop off used packaging at depot stations, enabling us to collect, refresh, and reuse it for future clients. Below is an example of how we provided sustainable packaging for
The GIST, a fan-first sports media brand shaking up the
male-dominated sports industry. By giving equal coverage
to women’s and men’s sports, The GIST delivers fun, digestible content across newsletters, podcasts, and social posts,
reaching all types of fans.

Logo
Our design is a friendly bird mascot paired with a clean sans-serif typeface to create an approachable look. Warm colours and green hues were chosen to express eco-friendly values and a sense of care. The bird is shown mid-walk while wearing a box, symbolizing the “nest” or packaging aspect of the brand. The mascot also has a small spout on its head to show how it will “bloom” like the brand that works with us.

Recycling Symbol
An alternate recycling symbol to inform consumers to
return the boxes. The green circles represent the rotation, recycling, and reuse process at each stage, showing how the packaging continues to grow as it moves to the next consumer. The sprout ties back to our logo, reinforcing the idea of growth
and renewal over time.
